Synthetic Diamonds
Here at David Douglas Diamonds and Jewelry we strive to make every distinction possible between lab grown diamonds and natural diamonds. We understand there is confusion and concern within our industry surrounding diamonds and we look to shed light on this subject and display our products in a transparent way.
Here are a examples of how we disclose and display lab grown diamonds offered here.
Lab grown diamonds are in a separate location within our jewelry store. Because there is no visual distinction between lab grown and earth mined diamonds we feel it is imperative that we separate these offerings into two different locations.
Lab grown diamonds are inscribed with a certification number. We have chosen to use independently certified lab grown diamonds that are accompanied with supporting documents of origin.
Uncertified diamonds are screened through GIA to prove origin. We let GIA do the heavy lifting when it comes to testing our accent diamonds. They test each diamond and confirm whether it is natural or manmade before it is even shipped to us. Learn more ->
Simulated Diamonds
David Douglas Diamonds and Jewelry offers two options for simulated diamonds - Lafonn and Charles & Colvard Moissanite.
Lafonn offers a beautiful simulated stone they call a Lassaire crystal. It's internally flawless and completely colorless - it's the perfect alternative to a cubic zirconia! It is NEVER described as a natural or lab created diamond online or within our store.
Charles & Colvard created a beautiful manmade gemstone they call Moissanite. It shares a similar hardness to a diamond and has been a very popular affordable alternative to natural diamonds. They can be purchased in two different color qualities of GHI or DEF and both or internally flawless. It is NEVER described as a natural or lab created diamond online or within our store but rather a lab created gemstone.
